Salary Range:$238,000.00 To $294,000.00 Annually

Summary:

 

The Production and Facilities Engineering Manager is a key leadership role within the Utah organization, responsible for overseeing all engineering activities related to oil and gas production engineering, facility designs, and infrastructure projects. This includes optimizing production, ensuring the safety and integrity of facilities, managing engineering projects, ensuring water and gas are delivered to frac and drillings sites, and leading a team of engineers and technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Production Optimization: 
  1. Maximize production through artificial lift optimization, well servicing, and choke management.
  2. Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance well EUR.
  3. Troubleshoot well performance issues, conduct interventions, and ensure well integrity.
  4. Develop and execute project plans, perform economic evaluations, and manage budgets.
  • Ensure Safe and Efficient Facility Operations:
    1. Oversee the operation of well sites, gathering systems, processing plants, and production facilities.
    2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
    3. Manage facility inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
    4. Oversee capital projects for facility upgrades and expansions.
    5. Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analysis, Facilities Hazard Identification, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
  • Provide Engineering Leadership:
    1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians.
    2. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    3. Assign and oversee engineering tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team.
    5. Ensure all projects adhere to company and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas production and facilities engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Detailed knowledge of company policies and procedures, industry practices, construction standards, welding procedures, and OSHA rules and regulations
  • Strong understanding of facilities and equipment in oil and gas environment – pipelines, tank batteries, compression, wellhead connects, vessels, pumps, etc

 

Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production principles and practices.
  • Expertise in facility design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in production optimization techniques 
  • Knowledge of software such as Spotfire, PowerBI, and WellView (experience with programming (python and R) as well as SQL database queries are preferred)
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
